  • Anonymous access to the repository

I am struggling to find the way to enable anonymous access to the repository. Is it an option. I am using UberSVN internally managed authentication, and expected that under Permissions for the repository I would be able to add something like Anonymous group with read only permissions. Seems like the feature is not there. Am I missing something?

    Hi Nepomya,

You aren't missing anything, anonymous access is not currently a feature. If you could add the idea to http://suggest.ubersvn.com/ then we can look at implementing it (and others can vote if they also want the same thing).

Can I just configure apache that is bundled with ubersvn manually to allow for anonymous access? In this case I assume I should use Apache authentication.

Well, you can, but if you make the change in the repository definitions in Apache, and then later make a change to any settings related to that repository in uberSVN, your changes would be overwritten.

As I say, I do believe this is a worthwhile feature and one we can look to provide in a future release.

I'm in support for this too.
And I have voted for this on suggest site on `anonymous access` feature

Excellent - Voting really does help with raising priorities.

            Thanks,
