  • Jenkins not installing and running correctly and an update failure

    Hi,

I'm new to uberSVN and, other than my problem with Jenkins, I'm very impressed so far. The issue I've found is that Jenkins installs from uberApps and configures as-per the documentation but then gives a 404 error for the main Jenkins tab, although the job submit dialog is available from the repository Jenkins tab.

Here's my environment and version info
    OS: CentOS 6 Linux
    uberSVN version: 12.4-9741, SVN v1.6

I can see some errors in the logs relating to Jenkins (and there is no jenkins directory anywhere) and I also got some errors when trying to do an auto update as follows
    Code:
    uberSVN-jenkins-all-all-1.465-1.tar.bz2
    Install History Output
    Task Status:	Failed
Task Output:	Update installation failed: Unable to execute pkgtool: Execution failure (127): Process exited with an error: 127 (Exit value: 127)

And the log entries for Jenkins:
    Code:
    [28 Jun 2012 14:22:48] INFO (?:?) - Downloading update file: uberSVN-jenkins-all-all-1.465-1.tar.bz2

One possible contributor would be perhaps that my Linux machine has two NICs, a statically defined eth0 with a 10.10.10.10 IP address and a DHCP enabled eth1 that I need to access applications via (which is working fine for accessing the GUIs etc).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
    thanks,
    Matt

    Hi,

I've solved this - crond wasn't installed or running and so things got into a bit of a state. The installer should probably check this as part of its prereq checks...
