  • Moving uberSVN from one server to another - error

    Hi,

I am in the process of moving an installation of one instance from one server to another.
I firstly installed, "WANdisco 2012 - #12.11-2086 SVN - 1.7 " on the new server (which is the same version as on the old server), using the same Install key from the first server (maybe shouldn't do that, but couldn't get another one)
I go through the wizard, creating an admin account and this is ok.

I take a backup from the old server, restore it on the new server.
I then get the attached error?

Any ideas why? see screenshot attached..

    Ollie:

UberSVN was withdrawn from support *years* ago (FYI, UberSVN was "before my time").

That said, WANdisco install keys are normally based on the IP address of the server. So perhaps you can swap over the IP from the old server to the new server and see if that helps?

In general, Subversion 1.7 is no longer supported by the OpenSource community: their standard policy is only the latest and 1 prior "long term support" release (and short term support releases only are supported until the next one ships). Given the latest LTS release is 1.10 that means that 1.8, 1.7, 1.6, etc. are not supported.

Consider migrating to a supported version?

    Cheers.
