Why CollabNet server requires the client?

Hi Folks,
I'm beginner on SVN , so I'm sorry if my question sounds trivial
I want to setup SVN server on Solaris 64bits Spark machine, while reading the instructions to setp CollabNet, I found that the server package requires the client to be installed first ! but i didn't understand why this is a prerequisite since I want to setup the server only on this machine ?

Prerequisites: - Install the CollabNet Subversion Client before the CollabNet Subversion Server.

Maybe because the client package provides some requisite libraries. You could try asking CollabNet directly.
